Cougars advance to Region Final |

After a
hom  erun in the top of the second, the Cougars faced an early 1-0 deficit
in Monday's do-or-die Regional semifinal against visiting Hume Fogg
Academy. Goodpasture did not allow any time for panic to set in as they
exploded for 11 runs in the bottom of the frame to take control of the
game.
The Players who made All-District are as follows:
First team
Hunter Newman (MVP), Jay Rhoten, Kyle Strickland, JP Brenzie, Carter Wiseman
Second team
Ryan Kemp, Brandon Ashworth, Wes Demirjian

The Goodpasture
Cougars beat the Sycamore War Eagles Thursday night to capture the 9-AA
district title. Wes Demirjian picked up the win for the Cougars on the
mound, extending his record to 9-0 on the season as the Cougars improved
to 31-3-1.
